VideoClips - using a couple of clips in the classroom. Although I've done this before with a MAC and iMovie, I've movied to some open source software on a Windows based PC. 1st clip took most of an afternoon. 2nd clip was finished in 10 minutes the next day. Jungle Disk - heard about this unique new online backup service from Security Now (see episode #123 for more info). The encryped backups (it is not clear what encryption standards are being used?) use the Amazon S3 cloud and are fairly cheap. My estimate of the one year cost of a 20GB backup, with 10 GB replaced each month (remember that only changed files need replacing) is $49. Cheap offsite storage as long as the encryption method is strong. Tags: Backup 2008-03-06
