Del DeVries : John Blumberg 2008-08

I just returned from the national Beta Alpha Psi conference in Anaheim, CA. John Blumberg (a CPA turned speaker) has some interesting comments for the nearly 1,000 college students in attendance. Of course, in looking out at how to have a great career there are the all important goals, communication, and life long learning skills. But John focused on Every Day Champion , where the operative words are EVERY DAY (encountered or used routinely or typically).

Every Examine your own experience and decide the outcome before you start.
- List your heros
- Send thank you notes
- List the 7 best things that you are doing now. Add 3 goals to finish before the next year.

Day Develop your impact and influence. Are you going to be interesting or interested? Do you really care? Figure out what you can GIVE - living in a world of abundance.
- The world is as calm as you are connected.
- Write your own story log. Remember lessons learned and appreciate something every day.
Champion Continuously serve. Remember the lessons of Servicize vs Serve.
- Caribou Coffee - life is short, stay awake for it!
