4. Ladies in Lavender (2004) Quirky tale of 2 sisters who discover and nurse back to health a nearly-drowned man washed up on their beach. He speaks no English and just happens to be an amazing violinist. The sisters are oddly suspicious of each other, of Andrea, and of course Olga - the young painter. These 2 interesting actresses, Judi Dench and Maggie Smith (remember Minerva McGonagall in Harry Potter?), are the only reason to watch this otherwise slow movie (DVD) _2009-05-15

1. Terminator Salvation (2009) SciFi. SkyNet, the machine, takes over and humanity fights. I'm still not clear on the John Conner time relationship with his father in the story. _2010-02-06
2. Moon (2009) SciFi. Handling a 3 year mining contract on the moon. But wait Sam Bell is actually a clone that wears out every 3 years. Helped by a robotic assistant named GERTY who is required to help him (not like HAL in 2001: A Space Odyssey!) _2010-02-26
