Main

for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” And whenever the answer has been “No” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.

Accounting Systems News will be the Notes of Possible Interest to Students started in Scribbles-August 2017

I'm thinking that I will setup a special page and suppress all of the junk that is on these wiki pages. Just a simple scrolling news feed.

  • simple mobile / adaptable skin for display: http://www.pmwiki.org/wiki/Skins/Amber
  • The skin uses Site.SideBar (or a Group SideBar page) for a main right-hand side menu, as is traditional with PmWiki. Custom?
  • Creating a page Site.PageElements allows customisation by the admin for all important page elements.
  • suppress the normal footer and sidebar for a clean, simple interface.
  • Of course - I could also setup a sub-domain for a separate wiki. Might be the right thing to do!
  • Accounting Systems News will be the start. I created a link from AIS Topical Index in the AIS wiki. Maybe I should structure the entire AIS wiki this way? Decisions to make.

New and Changed:

    • Data Backup as a new page to document my research and thinking process 9/12/2017

Data Backup ideas - A key concept is the 3-2-1 Rule

    • 3 – Keep 3 copies of any important file: 1 primary and 2 backups.
    • 2 – Keep the files on 2 different media types to protect against different types of hazards.
    • 1 – Store 1 copy offsite
